Lava Mobiles, the India-based smartphone manufacturer, just
announced its latest dual-SIM phone : the Lava B8. Aimed at young
business professionals and enterpreneurs, the Kava B8 packs an
interesting agglomeration of business features and interesting tech.
specs.
The Lava B8 features a candy
bar phone
form factor with a BlackBerry-like physical build which means a
physical QWERTY keypad flanked by a track pad joins the 262K color
boasting TFT high-resolution 2.3” screen of the
unlocked mobile phones.
A
3.2 megapixel camera satiates your desires to shoot pictures and videos
in decent quality, and is assisted by a LED flash to help you shoot
images/videos in the dark or low-light situations. While the listed
specs may sound just decent, know that Lava B8 is a dual-SIMphone and it
comes at a really affordable price.
Connectivity options include Bluetooth,
wifi phone,
FM Radio with recording, Edge and presumably a 3.5mm audio jack
(unconfirmed) for plugging in your favorite set of headphones or
connecting your home music system to the device.
The Lava B8
phone enables Push Mail support with support for up to 10 email accounts
including corporate emails. The device has an onboard storage space of
2GB which can be further expanded to up to16GB to house your favorite
media files and office documents.
Other interesting features Java
Support, a phonebook capacity of about 2000 entries, an MTK 6235
chipset with a “good processor”, preloaded social networking apps like
Facebook, Twitter, Nimbuzz, Snaptu, an integrated motion sensor that can
change music tracks and wallpapers at the ‘shake’ of the phone, MP3
player, Opera Mini and much more.
Interestingly, the device is
priced at just Rs. 5299 and is now currently on sale across a number of
retail stores across India. FlipKart is currently offering the same
handset for just Rs. 3,999. An amazing discount, isn’t it.
Seemingly,
the Lava B8 business phone is one of the best dual-SIM business phones
from Lava Mobiles, and the device seems to have decent set of specs on
its shoulders, so looks like an easy deal for people on a tight budget
with the preferences of a business phone or youngsters with multimedia
and social networking interests.
